Claudia Dutson

Sessional Lecturer Design

Claudia studied architecture at the University of East London, and at the Royal College of Art, where she is completing an ARHC-funded practice-based PhD on performance in architecture. Her research and practice investigates the entanglement of environmental control, digital technology, language and gender politics in workplace architecture. Her work has been published in Industries of Architecture (Routlege 2015), EROS Journal, and she authored a book on artificial light in architecture in 2008. Claudia also teaches design in Information Experience Design MA at the Royal College of Art. She has lectured at Chelsea College of Art, University of Newcastle and University of Brighton. Before architecture she trained in media production, and worked in new media consultancy during the dotcom bubble (and burst).
